ZENapartment Belgrade, Knez Miletina st., Dorcol

When speaking of studio apartments in Belgrade for short term rent, we usually think of studios with small floor areas and average furnishings. The exceptions to the rule are apartments to the likes of ZEN. It is snuggled on the ground floor of a brand new apartment building in Dorćol. As soon as you enter the apartment it becomes clear that it is a very carefully  designed interior, bathing in pastel like lukewarm colour nuances with occasional spruces of cold gray. Next to the entryway is an elongated and really jaw-dropping bathroom (with a stone carved washbasin and a custom built shower. Opposite the entrance is the kitchenette (which happens to have a washing machine in it) and a breakfast bar with two accompanying stools. Behind the kitchen is the exit to the small balcony and in front of it is a truly pleasantly arranged scene. A living room that comprises two massive bergere armchairs separated by a stylish oval table,  and a faux fireplace and a tv mounted on the adjacent wall. It alsohas a transluscent glass backdoor to the bathroom (the shower to be precise). The sleeping area is integral to lkiving room but placed on on a platform – and hidden behind a row of thick bamboo trunks. It has a beaoutiful double bed, a set of night tables and a truly stunning “elastic” ceiling with a milky way transluscent motif augmented by a LED backlight. ZEN is emellesihed by numerous decorations that speak volumes of good taste and measure.    
On top of the aforementioned qualities, ZEN is one of the few studios that lie in the Old City core, in a brand new building. Close to the city’s Bohemian Quarter and Bitef theater, its neighborhood hosts some of the city’s most authentic landmarks – the likes of which are Baylonee Farmers Market and Old Herzegowina restaurant- as well as night out hot spots (Đura Bar).A  fifteen minute walk gets you to Knez Mihailova street (the city’s main promenade) and for those who arrive by car there is a possibility of parking in the building’s underground garage for a 5 euro daily surcharge. Given the convenience it provides, one should note that ZEN is not among the affordable accommodations. However, it is most definitely HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to all who wish for an immaculately clean an top quality serviced apartment in Belgrade
