OLD TOWN is a huge, voluminous, two bedroom apartment in the very heart of Belgrade. Spaciousness, lots of daylight and a prime location are the main characteristics of this fine accommodation for four people.
In spite of the wide variety of short term rentals in Belgrade, there are surprisingly few apartments that conjure up the image of pre-war bourgeoisie as OLD TOWN does. This thorougly renovated, aristocratic beauty utilises the hundred meters floor area to the fullest extent. Truth be told, it appears at least twice as large owing to unusually tall ceilings. Essentialy, OLD TOWN is a dual aspect flat, and consists of two separate parts which we've named (somewhat inaptly) the chamber and the backend. The first consists of two interconnecting rooms - the master bedroom and the living room – and both literally bathe in sunlight. The bedroom has a large double bed with upholstered headboard and a king-size wardrobe with enough luggage room for four people. The living room's most prominent bits are the L-shaped sectional sofa and a large TV set. A long, narrowing corridor leads to the second and far more isolated whole of the apartment. The first in line is the small but lavishly equipped bathroom. Second is the small, quadrilateral, guest bedroom with two single beds and a poratble coat rack. The last in the row is, in accordance with urbane architectural conventions from the turn of the century, the kitchen with its adjoinng dining space. The apartments interior is rife with contrasts – contemporary, simple-shaped furniture stands next to old-time wallpapers and crystal chandeliers - and they create an unusually pleasant ambiance for a short term stay. When we say short term we mean it since the lack a washing machine disqualifies it as an extended stay option.
Location is ridiculously good. An arm's length to Kalemegdan Park and a minutes' walk from Knez Mihailova, OLD TOWN settles up to five people in the very core of Old Belgrade. The neighbourhood is rife with landmarks, culture and history. The apartment is also well positioned for going out, as it's midway from Savamala and Dorchol's clubs. As far as the groceries are concerned you can choose between the two supermarkets (MAXI and IDEA) that are literally two minutes away from the apartment building. On street parking is theoretically possible, but practically improbable as the three zones of parking intersect the area. To say the truth, OLD TOWN's position renders a vehicle somewhat superfluous. Last but not least: price varies significantly depending on the number of guests so do consult the detailed price-list before booking.
