Snuggled on the first floor of a very old apartment building, in one of Belgrade’s oldest quarters, spreading on a generous, seventy square meters of floor area, SMOKVITZA is a very handsome and thoroughly renovated short term rental for up to six persons. It consists of five separate rooms in a layout that ensures maximum convenience even when all six guests are present. The main room is a seamless fusion of entryway and an open concept living room (with kitchen and dining area as its integral parts. It contains a sitting set which consists of two armchairs and a fold out, three-seater sofa, a fully equipped single row kitchen and an exit to one of the two balconies (with a lovely sitting set for two).The first of the bedrooms comes with a large built in wardrobe, a double bed and the two night stands surrounding it, and another exit to the aforementioned balcony, whereas the other guest bedroom, packs three single beds, a chest of drawers, and an exit to the second, slightly smaller balcony that overlooks the main street. Together with the sofa in the living room, the apartment can sleep up to 6 persons in a 2+1+1+1+1 fashion, but given that all the guests have to share one bathroom (which is, by the way really nice) it is far more recommendable for up to five people. Its interior is contemporary and posh, and the location of the apartment is fairly superb for tourists. This reflects its pricing, which is fairly above average, but the value you get for money is indisputable.
If you were aiming for a city break, SMOKWITZA is well positioned for it. Next to Kalemegdan, a three minute walk to Knez Mihailova street, surrounded by many historical and cultural sites of interest as well as quite unique Dorćol locals, SMOKWITZA is perfectly positioned for a smaller group of friends on an extended weekend in Belgrade. Parking is theoretically possible, along the street but also limited up to three hours, so we would not recommend this apartment to those who arrive by car. On the other hand, if you are looking for a cool place for up to six people in upper Dorćol area, there is no reason not take SMOKWITZA into consideration.
