LEON is a very affordable, two bedroom apartment on the bottom floor of an old tenement in the city center. It's a comfortable accommodation for up to seven people.
LEON is unique in many aspects. Snuggled into one of the oldest quarters of Belgrade, this, technically speaking, two bedroom apartment consists of two separate areas. The first is a set of two interconnected bedrooms with the living room, and the second is the bathroom with the dining- kitchen area at the far end. The „master“ bedroom has a lovely double and a single bed styled in same fashion, and the smaller bedroom has a fold out couch that performs the same function. Together with the fold out sofa in the living room the apartment can sleep up seven adults in a 2+1+2+2 arrangement. The long hallway leads to the conspicuously tiled bathroom with a walk in shower, and finally the huge dining room with its adjoining thoroughly equipped kitchen. Aesthetically speaking LEON is uncategorisable, as pretty much all interior design trends from the past hundred years are visibly present in the apartment. Sharp and rather unblendable contrasts are abundant: antique double doors with stained glass, printed wallpapers from the seventies, wood strip wall and ceiling cladding popular in the eighties and rather contemporary furniture make up a real motley crew ambiance about it. It should be noted that in spite of this disparity the furnishings are in fact of rather fine quality and all of the appliances are quite up to date.
Since it's only got one bathroom and happens to be devoid of a washer, LEON is not an abode we would recommend for extended stays. All of its shortcomings, however, are superceeded by its ridiculously low price and suitably enviable location. With two minutes walk to Skadarlija, in a neighbourhood cluttered with popular night clubs, fine dining establishments and cultural heritage sites, LEON is literally perfect choice for a group of young adults on a backpacker trail or a city break. Parking may prove challenging as all three parking zones permeate the area. Shops, and fast food joints work around the clock in this part of town, so you are unlikely to be short of anything. So if you are looking for a very cheap accommodation for seven people in the very heart of Belgrade LEON ought to top your list.
