PLEASURE is on the first floor of a New Belgrade tenement right across the street from Old Mercator. It is essentially a fairly spacious studio, with a half partitioned sleeping area, so that it feels like a one bedroom apartment. The kitchen is the first unit you walk into - a modern space in a double array and fully equipped. The self standing worktop with an aspirator towering above it is the functional border between the kitchen and dining area – a table with four Eames inspired chairs. The living room area contains a large L shaped sectional sofa , a low Tv shelf and an exit to the adjacent balcony with a tiny sitting set for two people. Behind the partition which is opposite the TV lies a small standard double bed, that can can be accessed from a single side only. The windows cover the full width of the apartment so PLEASURE basks in daylighting. The bathroom is opposite the kitchen, neatly packed and fully refurbished with a washing machine that is also a dryer, a cute glass shower and a set of neat bathroom-ware. Sleeping arrangement is 2+2 – or 2+3 if the three are kids and they share the sofa.
PLEASURE’s quite well positioned for those who need accommodation in New Belgrade – especially proximal to New Belgrade Council house. It is almost equidistant to it and Danube Quay and subsequently Zemun. On street parking is abundant and free of charge, and the nearby council house is also a public transport hub – many high-frequency routes stop nearby and get you to almost any other part of town. Therefore if you do need an apartment near Old Mercator, then take PLEASURE into consideration.
