HAT is a fully renovated one bedroom apartment in the heart of Belgrade's Bohemian quarter Skadarlija. It's near the famous kafana "Three Hats" and it accommodates up to three people.
The apartment is on the fourth floor of an old building that has not got an elevator – a feature that recommends it only to those who feel comfortable walking seventy odd steps up and down. The space is organised in three sections: the living room (of open concept), the bathroom and the bedroom. You enter the flat into a small and well equipped kitchenette which instead of a regular has a microwave oven, partitioned from the rest of the apartment via a breakfast bar. The sitting area is very modest in terms of dimensions, and the two seater sofa can be unfolded into a sleeping spot for the third person. The bedroom is by far the most spacious and since it’s also got a sitting set, it may be far more convenient for socializing (especially if you wish to watch the TV). The bathroom is small and has a shower cabin inside. The whole apartment is colored in a bland pastel shade of yellow, and directional lighting brings it to prominence. Combined with a few small but effective decorative details, it makes up a pleasant atmosphere in the whole apartment.
HAT is on of the very few apartments in the heart of Belgrade’s bohemian quarter Skadarlija. Live gypsy music, loads of people in a festive mood and damn fine wining and dining are literally on the palm of your hand – you really don’t have to walk that far to enjoy it. Neigbourhood also borders with the notorious Silicone Valley in Belgrade, and Knez Mihajlova takes less than five minutes on foot. All in all, if you were looking for an apartment for short term rent, that can accommodate up to three people, and has a perfect location for a city break, do consider hanging your coat and hat in HAT.
