As soon as holidays arrive the vocabulary of the friendly staff of BEOAPARTMAN is pretty much reduced to a couple of phrases: Apartment in Knez Mihajlova? An apartment close to Knez Mihajlova? So you would like to stay in an apartment in Knez Mihajlova? Damn you Knez Mihajlova! Of course it’s close to Knez Mihajlova…. You get the picture. For anyone who has even a slightest clue about Serbia or Belgrade a mere mention of an apartment in Knez Mihajlova spells prestige and it still is the most sought for location by all of those who would like to make their stay in Belgrade an exclusive one. Insofar. BeoApartman has had a number of options that were fairly adequate for those looking for an apartment in Knez Mihajlo but, to be perfectly honest, these options somehow failed to meet their expectations. Well, good things come to those who wait. We are proud to present a true gem in our offer, a truly affordable piece of luxury in the very heart of Belgrade Knez Mihajlova.
Our quality assessors have visited the apartment and were stunned to say the least. The following text summarizes their impressions, and hopefully provides a good insight to what this luxurious studio has to offer.
If perchance Prince Michael himself would have decided to alight from the horse he was mounted on some 130 years ago by an Italian sculptor, and get away from the scorching sun or the annoying Belgrade rains in the summer, he would have undoubtedly gone straight into our ALDO SERVICED APARTMENT. You wonder why? The answer is fairly straightforward: it’s near, in a very representative street which bears his name and given his title, Mikey would be obliged to be picky about his residence. ALDO Serviced apartment in Belgrade is a right presidential suite in a location that is a point of reference to all other locations in Belgrade and furnished for those who do not settle for second best.
Nestled on the first floor of a suitably large apartment building, you can reach it either up the spiral staircase embellished with fabulous iron wrought railings or a vintage (but fully functional and safe) elevator. Silence is your most discernable companion in the apartment – the first street that actually has road traffic is over 200 meters away. The apartment has to be walked to, and you can do so from the nearby Obilicev Venac Garage, through Spasich Passage.
Slightly more than 50 square meters form a beautifully organized single space where the only separate spot is the bathroom. A flawlessly polished dark brown bamboo parquet literally slides you into the ambiance. On the right you’ll be greeted by your own reflection in the mirror of a large sliding wardrobe door and on the left a very intriguing ornament carved in the stone wall and coated with an illuminated LED stick. While you’re walking towards the bathroom, a peek over the left shoulder releases a view of the full opulence of ALDO apartment.
The bathroom is befitting the overall proportions of the apartment. A shower cabin in its center, a fine brown porcelain washbasin on the lesft and a toilet pedestal – all skillfully and aesthetically blended in the warm sienna and beige nuances prevalent in the rest of the apartment. The hydro-massage shower cabin is sure to keep you in till the last drop of warm water.
The lack of windows has brought about an interesting architectural and interior design solution – which in turn made this spacious studio an effective and functionally immaculate abode. A king size double bed (160 cm in width) has found its place in the small lounge opposite to the breakfast bar. The ornament in the drywall just above the headboard and a discrete sticker on the wall (admittedly, the border between kitsch and good taste has been porous for quite some time), and the inevitable secluded light, two decent lamps on two night stands and voila! – a perfect spot to embark into dreamland is there (in case the metaphor remains unclear we’re describing the bed, translator’s remark)
If you mange to refrain yourself from diving face first into the large and cozy slumber spot and decide to walk towards the sumptuous bit of the apartment which is dedicated to the living room you are most likely to stop in front of the breakfast bar with the two bar stools and wonder where that good looking barman may have trotted off from –….then you’ll realize you’re actually looking at ALDO’s superb kitchen.
Pitch black refrigerator, checkerboard mosaic tiles with shiny cupboards, a precious stainless steel cooker hood and the phenomenal counter – all packed into an aesthetically pleasing whole – it is a site that makes you stop and think about the refurbishment of your own kitchen for a while. Most kitchen in short term rentals are equipped with basic utensils and kitchenware for the purpose of preparation of basic meals; ALDO’s kitchen looks as if it were made for site seeing.
A nice oval shaped glass dining table with shiny chromium legs, again perfectly blended with the black and white chairs and the black and white kitchen. A blend of glass, leather and stainless steel exudes a feeling of luxury and is an ideal transition for yet the most beautiful bit of the apartment – a marvelous and voluminous living room.Although the border between the living room space and the rest of the apartment is not so clear cut, an informed estimate is that it takes half of the apartment. This space is occupied with a posh leather sofa set, which bathes in its own reflection on the polished surface of the bamboo parquet and stands tall resembling a bronze statue on a marble plinth. The three seater the loveseat and an armchair are placed in a semicircular fashion facing the low polished chest of drawers which holds a large LED TV.
ALDO is an accommodation that is not easily replaceable, regardless of the variety of the offer. There are apartments that have absolutely superb locations, there are those who have the luxury superior design or an immaculate upkeeping. Well, ALDO is all of those together.
