It’s been well over four months since we’ve reviewed the last apartment in the Hedonists’ Apartment Survey. The reason for the delay certainly wasn’t the lack of appropriate material….on the contrary, there is a growing mutitude of high quality and nothing short of luxurious apartments that lend themselves at behests of those who visit Belgrade. The criteria defining luxury is becoming really elastic …it stretches together with the offer that grows steadily. In contrast, although it is fairly important, coitus is not the sole purpose of Hedonists Apartment Survey and the rubric wasn’t meant to become a homespun places to get laid list. The predominant opinion in BeoApartman, which we failed not to express on many occasions, is that for one night stands luxury is not a precondition. Besides, as psychology teaches us, once you slake that thirst, the need for friendship, belonging and family crop forth….rendering luxurious romantic apartments for two as a disservice to groups of friends (of the same sex) who come for a night out or a city break in Belgrade. And families, for that matter. Luxury’s natural enemy is a human child. All these things have brought about a conclusion – to have an apartment listed in the Hedonist’s Apartment Survey it has to have a…….weeeell, an X factor (or whatever the meaningful explanation of :good times for target population: might be)

This apartment has seen many foreign guests since its advent on the short term rentals market and its top position is almost cemented with global serviced accommodation providers websites. In that respect, it does not need advertising – and hence, this text is a full fledged reccomendation that comes from vast experience of other happy guests. Having said that, bear in mind that a lot of people know about it already, and should you wish to book it you may have to so well in advance – it is hardly ever unoccupied in the short term. Apart from being a proud member of the holiday apartments with a jacuzzi class, this handsome devil sits on the Hedonist apartment piedestal on the account of the multitude of its great features. It has an almost minimalist air about it – it is devoid of excessive ornamentation, but the adornments which are there, stand witness to an urbane eastern european and somewhat underground taste. We have decided to portray a mere half a dozen of cool features that make it stand side by side with the chosen few in our offer.
1. Spaciousness
Holday apartment CENTER is unusually spacious for Belgrade terms. A huge living room with two bedrooms, take the bulk of its 100 square meters so the last thing you are likely to feel is confined. The “smaller” bedroom could become a lovely pitch for a lenghty sockball tournament, whereas sheer volume of the kitchen and the dining room make it one of the largest ten in our offer. All of the necesarry kitchenware is there. A refridgerator with an ice cube machine, a dishwasher and an overall huge counter ensure that you are well equipped for making the most sophisticated meals under its roof.

2. TWO BATHROOMS
Just to make it clear we are not talking about a toilet and a bathroom, but two bathrooms. The first and the slightly more appealing one is accessed from the dining room.. Apart from the adorable sillouethes on the randomly picked tiles, seethrough shower cabin, large oval mirror with a fancy frame and stylish washbowl, it stores a complete laundry (that’s right!- two separate machines – a washer and a dryer). The other bathroom, accessed from the master bedroom, has a somewhat more modern design and (a drum roll in the background) a jacuzzi jetted bathtub for two. Once you take into consideration the distance between the two entrances and the fact that the users of both bathrooms won’t have to meet on their way there, it becomes pretty clear that this vacation rental is by no means a standard one (well, at least, not in Belgrade) .
3. Flexible sleeping arrangements
OK, this is not exactly an uncommon feature for two bedroom apartments in Belgrade, but it’s a good one nevetheless. Since the apartment can sleep up to six it comes in quite handy to have two single beds in one of the bedrooms. The L shaped sofa is a good choice both for singles and couples.
4. LOCATION
It is true that there is a growing number of apartments in the very heart of the city, but two-bedroom 100 square meters Belgrade city center apartments aren’t common. Fullstop. And by choosing CENTER you have chosen to abide in the most central of locations. The Parliament Building is just fifty meters away, and a hundred more steps will get you to Nikola Pashich Square – a vast number of cultural, historical, and commercial sites are within a ten minute walking radius. This feature alone makes a great spot for a city break (sorry a Belgrade break) for a group of friends or a large family.
5. PRICE (and it IS right)
It is hard to believe that this level of convenience is available at more or less the same price as a hostel. Honest! For those who do decide to stay in CENTER, the actual starting price is the incredible 10 euros per person (for extended stays it gets as low as 8.33 euros per person) – of course this is the price per peson ratio at full capacity (six people). In short it’s a real bargain!
6. Suitability for extended stays
Holiday apartment CENTER has all the amenities for a very comfortable life. In addition to the extraordinarily well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, wardrobe space is aplenty. Moreover, it has two terraces, one facing the yard and the other facing the street , so if anyone in your entourage happens to be a smoker they’re unlikely to smother the rest of you – and in the unlikely case of just wanting to change the ambiance you don’t have to go down all four floors.
So when all is said and done, you remain with this: CENTER is a truly phenomenal holiday apartment with everything one might need to fully enjoy their stay in Belgrade – thus, a proud meber of the Hedonists Apartment Survey.
