Belgrade Apartments as inexpensive overnights – An oxymoron?

It is almost commonplace that apartments are not the most inexpensive options of overnight in Belgrade (although as the offer grows ever larger we do seem to be heading in that direction). Apart from gratuitous couch-surfing, hostels can hardly be beaten in terms of overnight stay price. Cleaning, greeting and seeing the guests out are actions which demand time, and time is something most of the hosts are short of (especially if short term rent isn’t their primary means of sustenance). This is the exact reason why many of them discourage overnight stay arrangements through pricing (e.g. giving an unreasonably higher price for a single night). It also alleviates the fear of pop-up parties, especially if they’’re renting slightly more spacious apartments.
Besides, unlike hotels and hostels, most owners will not book you an overnight far in advance. Experienced renters share the perception that a single overnight may become a bottleneck for longer stays. As each of the apartments is more or less unique in its set of features, adequate replacements become a very relative term. In spite of the fact that it annoys potential guests, this slightly aberrant policy is still more ethical than accepting and then canceling a reservation due to a force majeure(+).

In what might be regarded pure greed, some owners accept the provisional single night far in advance, and then when a more profitable reservation comes by which collides with a previously accepted overnight, they usually contact you with a story of a burst pipe or some other force majeure in the apartment. Once presented with such excuses, know that a more profitable customer popped up.
Once you’re over thirty something, however, hostels and couch surfing are no longer acceptable variants of overnight stays. In both cases, you’ll cause extensive eyebrow lifting, especially if you strive too much to fit in. Then, it is really far more convenient to choose between a hotel or an apartment.

We cannot provide useful advice regarding hotels but what we can do is tell you about apartments in Belgrade. In the period behind us three groups of accommodation capacities have appeared that that aren’t exactly apartments, but aren’t hotel rooms either. Grouping is their key to being able to borrow the best of both worlds. On one hand, they are cheap from an apartment point of view, and on the other they’re similar in terms of structure and furnishings and practically next to each other. This means that even if it comes to changing one for the other it wont be a hassle for the guest
To cut the long story short. We present you the apartments which deserve the title of inexpensive overnight stay in Belgrade.

And we start with the best ones!

(this is a slider – you can flip trough images clicking the left and right buttons, while clicking the image will take you to the apartments homepage)

TRISTAN, FOUR-OAR, MIXER, LED and BRANKO are brand new apartments as overnight spots, in a brand new building in an enviable location. They sweep the competition in terms of price and the quality they provide for it is unprecedented. Although one could easily mistake them for shared rooms, they’ve all got their own kitchenettes, and separate bathrooms.
There is a catch, though…
Price is promotional, so we have no idea whether they’ll be valid at the time when you read this text.

BELGRADE STUDIOS FOR A DAY – FROM ONE TO FIVER

(this is a slider – you can flip trough images clicking the left and right buttons, while clicking the image will take you to the apartments homepage)

This group of apartments is identical in terms of basic furnishings. A kitchenette *a dish rack and a double hot plate ) a separate bathroom and a large double bed is what they all offer.  from One to FIVE. FIVER does have a built in wardrobe as an exception, but the similarities stop there, so staying in each of them will be a different aesthetic experience. You could characterize them all as romantic and inexpensive accommodation for two. Their main advantage is a relatively central location (lower Dorchol area) and the price that decreases proportionately to the length of your stay. As inexpensive overnight stays, however, apart from the overnight facility (that is bed) little else is comfortable.

JACUZZI OVERNIGHT STAYS IN BELGRADE

(this is a slider – you can flip trough images clicking the left and right buttons, while clicking the image will take you to the apartments homepage)

This group of overnight stays bears most resemblance to hotel rooms, as none of them has a kitchen. But whence you see there interiors you’ll realize that they have a fair compensation for it. Named after noble gases, KRYPTON, NEON and HELIUM with two partnering H2O and HYDRA are romantic overnights and three out of five have Jacuzzi bathtubs as their constituent parts. NEON and HELIUM are essentially bedrooms with a bathroom, but their double beds are big enough to accommodate four people, and the draperies in combination with neon lights create an illusion that inspires intimacy, closeness and indulgence. KRYPTON is a golden middle – it follows suit in terms aesthetics, but it has a jacuzzi bathtub as an addition. H2O progressively increases the offer as its jacuzzi can actually admit four people at once. HYDRA in spite of the immense jacuzzi for six people has a single double bed and it is not really an inexpensive form of overnight. However, you won’t have a problem booking it far in advance as almost no-one books them for longer than a single night (or afternoon).

Compared to the total number of apartments in our offer, those regarded as inexpensive overnights are ridiculously disproportionate. Aesthetically, functionally and location-wise they are very different. But in all three cases you can count on booking them for short term well in advance. Until some other, more affordable places appear, these definitely deserve your attention.
