The following text is dedicated to an apartment in Belgrade that could have been a part of the Hedonists’ apartment survey\u00a0<\/em>in all but one of it’s features…it is far too romantic. Also, it would not be fair to the author, as this one is just a translation of the original, posted a few days earlier. Does a luxurious apartment have to be spacious? Well, the answer to that question is our serviced apartment THEOREM.<\/p>\n

The quality of short term rentals in Belgrade has been skyrocketing. What was deemed luxury just a few years ago is nowadays a standard. What is luxury today then, you may ask? And we\u2019ll tell you, probably the same thing that will become a standard in a few years.<\/p>\n

Following that train of thought, we might propose that if our serviced apartment THEOREM is going to become a standard in, say, 2016, then we\u2019ll most definitely describe it as a pure luxury now in 2014. Packed in a bit more than\u00a0 thirty square meters, this apartment has a luxurious location to begin with \u2013 indeed it is just a hundred meters away from Knez Mihajlova and very close to StudenskiPark. The serene tenement it\u2019s in was built some fifty years ago. For those who arrive by car, pressing a single button on a remote will open the roller shutter door that leads to the parking spot reserved for the guests of this beautiful apartment.<\/p>\n

And Voila. On the second floor, in what may be described as unusual quiet, behind a steel door lies this marvelous, bright and in an array of its details, unusual apartment.<\/p>\n

\"Living<\/a>

Living room area and kitchen<\/p><\/div>\n

THEOREM is in fact a studio apartment that has been shaped into a one bedroom apartment by neat inner organization of space. In essence, the bedroom is not really a separate room> the main area is 3,5 by 6,5 meters and it has been partitioned by a very ingenious piece of furniture into a living room and a bedroom into two zones. The living room area takes a larger area which is fairly justifiable in this case \u2013 because it also contains a phenomenal kitchen to which we\u2019d do incredible injustice if we added the \u2013ette<\/i> to it.\"Kitchen-simina-apartmani-beograd-belgrade-apartments\"<\/a>Incredibly practical, this kitchen has all the elements of a damn fine meal preparation area. It\u2019s most prominent feature is the is the large shiny stainless steel aspirator which ensures that no funny smells go astray into other parts of the studio. The built in refrigerator and a built in microwave oven (which has its own grill), domino plate with two heating elements, and a singe basin sink with a faucet resembling a work of avant-garde art all comprise the kitchen and a feel of the rest of the apartment: compact , high quality, luxurious and above all, interesting. It\u2019s almost a shame to prepare food in it.<\/p>\n

\"Living<\/a><\/p>\n

If you do embark into making a ham omlette in it, you will have to eat it in the living room. And the living area is fairly decent in size:\u00a0 it has a sofa set that consists of a a incredibly comfortable leather three-seater sofa and an even more comfortable lunge chair. The three seater turns into a double bed (140x 200 cm), so when combined with the real bed in the sleeping area the apartment can actually accommodate up to 4 adults, should the need arise. However, to be perfectly honest, we don\u2019t advise it. THEOREM is, by all accounts a prefect love nest – for two<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The partition (which is absolutely great in case we failed to mention it)\u00a0 is dominated by a large flat screen TV which can be rotated a full circle- this means you watch it from literally anywhere in the apartment. Just behind it is the sleeping area- a perfectly comfortable double bed (160x 200) takes up the larger bit of this part of the apartment. Cuddled Next to it is a small chair and a night table that has laptop with internet connection which is at guests\u2019 disposal. And to top, above the headboard is a beautiful work of art by a renown Belgrade painter.<\/p>\n
